About The Ranch
Our shed row ranch style barn, which was constructed in the 1940s, has an open breezeway with original brick flooring. The open design welcomes all visitors to meet our horses who will be hanging out in their stalls in between trail rides. At the far end of the barn is our office and tack room area where you will be checked in and fitted with a helmet. The barn connects to an English-style courtyard where picnic tables are located for gathering as well as a fire pit for the chilly days.
Our 30 acre ranch spans both Carroll and Baltimore Counties in northern Maryland. We have created over 10 miles of trails through the characteristic upland terrain of rolling hills and deciduous forest. Our trails will lead you through open pastures, stream crossings, park-like woodlands and many other areas where a variety of wildlife can be observed. Frequently on our rides, we will get to see deer, fox, raccoons, possum and even an occasional bald eagle!
Horses aren’t the only animals that reside on our farm. You’ll be sure to see emus, peacocks, and a (not-so) micro pig named Garth. All of our animals are friendly, approachable and love the attention from our visitors.
